LOGLINE: After losing his young wife because of the President's new Health Care Program, Thomas Carl Hawk, a dishonorably discharged war hero sets out to do the unthinkable... Assassinate The President Of The United States.
SYNOPSIS: The Hawks are the picture perfect, All American family living the American Dream in a small town in North Carolina. They have the finer things in life; a beautiful house on the lake, new luxury cars, a boat and private school for the children. Due to the famished economy, Thomas Hawk’s construction business fails and he is forced to take a minimum wage job at the local hunting & fishing store with no health benefits. The Hawks have no other choice but to foreclose on their home, boat and cars.Suddenly and without warning, his wife Meredith is diagnosed with a brain tumor that could be terminal if she doesn’t get immediate treatment and time is of the absolute essence. Because the Hawks have no health insurance they are placed on a mandatory waiting list as per President William J Peterson’s new Controversial Government Controlled Health Care Plan. With nowhere else to turn, Hawk turns to United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Donald Hoffman and begs him for the Marines’ assistance. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of Hawk’s discharge and the nature of Meredith’s illness, the Marines are not an option and she quietly passes away. Devastated by his wife’s untimely death, Hawk falls off the wagon after 8 1/2 years of sobriety and slowly loses his grip on reality. He writes a heart wrenching goodbye letter to his family, leaving his young children and dog with his mother and starts to prepare for The Assassination. He puts himself through a rigorous and grueling basic training to get into military shape. With his Marine Corps .50 Caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle, he regains his precise shooting skills that earned him the Bronze Star with a Combat V medal.Hawk vows to tell his wife’s story and makes a video in full combat gear blasting The President and his new Health Care Plan. He ends the video by giving his name, rank, military ID and his mission: Assassinate President Peterson. Veteran Secret Service Agent Edward Lincoln and his partner Agent Lillian Price are assigned to the case. An arrest warrant & a nationwide all points bulletin are issued for Hawk who is considered armed and extremely dangerous. A cat & mouse game begins after Hawk calls Agent Lincoln and sends him to the wrong destination thousands of miles away. Hawk scouts various locations throughout the United States that The President will be at and finds the perfect venue. Will the disgruntled father of three carry out his mission and put an end to this story? Or will Agent Lincoln catch him and save The President’s life…
